• Seedlings Parent & Child Outdoor Program: Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education is hosting parent-and-child activities to promote nature and environmental awareness on Friday, July 25^th. Children, ages 2-5, will join in nature-inspired activities and get a sneak peak of the Nature Preschool from 2-3pm. Adult participation and pre-registration is required. • Kidchella: Smith Memorial Playground is hosting a Kids Music Festival on Friday, July 25^th, from 6-8pm. The event is free for Smith members, $10 per person for nonmembers. (Rain or shine Kidchella will be outside.) 3500 Reservoir Drive, Philadelphia, PA 19121
• Friends of Pennyback Park Cleanup: Pennyback Park is asking for volunteers to help clean up its 1600 acres. On Saturday, July 26^th, from 10am-1pm you can come out and show your Philly pride! Tip: wear comfortable clothing, clos-toed shoes, gloves, hat, and sunblock. Frankford Ave & Solly Ave.
• Saturdays @SCEE: The Schuylkill Center is once again hosting naturalist-led storytime and old-fashioned games on Saturday, July 26^th. • Reception and Artist Talk with LandLab: Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education is hosting the official unveiling of the completed installation of Maggie Mills, B. H. Mills, and Marguerita Hagan’s artwork and sculptures, pollinator-friendly garden, and midsummer bloom. On Saturday, July 26^th, from 3-5pm artist and scientific experts will speak about plant-pollinator interactions and the importance to our ecosystem. • People’s Climate March: Taberancle United Church of Christ is volunteering space to host local activists to create an organizing process to engage Philadelphia in the People’s Climate March. The event will be held over two different days: Saturday, July 26, 10am-5pm and Sunday, July 27, 1:30-5:30pm.The meeting will not only teach you the basics of organizing, but also deepen your local networks and make the connection between the People’s Climate March and local eco-campaigns. 3700 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, PA
