Sadly, our Big Green Party scheduled for this Friday must be postponed due to extenuating circumstances. Over 200 of you were more than psyched for this event, and we can’t wait to bring in the new year with you to celebrate with a bigger, badder party.

Ready to get yourself psyched for the week? Whether you’re jealous of the GREEN Program’s pending journey to Peru, City Council’s transit choices or SEPTA accessibility, catch up on the news you missed this Monday and then get ready for an amazing week of events. WEEK EVENTS FOR NOVEMBER 17 – 20TH, 2014:

  • Philly Bike Share Open House: Find out about public surveys about bike share station locations and more about the upcoming program with City Bike Share reps. Tuesday, November 18th from 8:15 AM – 6 PM, The Gallery at Jefferson Station (formerly Market East), in the Atrium and Food Court (enter from 9th/Market); MOTU website.
  • What’s Your Vision for Philadelphia? Join Mom Cleans Air Force and other community leaders to discuss the tale of two (future) cities: a fossil fuel export haven or local, cleaner Philadelphia. Tuesday, November 18, 9 AM – 11 AM, City CoHo, 2401 Walnut St, Facebook RSVP.
  • Women Bike PHL November Happy Hour:  Join fellow lady bikers for a happy hour to discuss, rant and rave about biking in the city of brotherly love. Tuesday, November 18th, 5-7 PM, Garage Philly (1231 E Passyunk Ave).; Facebook RSVP.
  • Kensington Homestead Release: Hear Nic Esposito read from his hot new book, hear amazing local music and hang out with book-nerd friends at Johnny Brenda during the Kensington Homestead Release Party. Wednesday, November 19th at 8 PM; 1201 Frankford Ave.
  • The State of Responsible Business: Our friends at Forsei Consulting are hosting a panel discussion about the state of Philadelphia’s responsible business for YIP’s State of Young Philly. Find out about ideals behind corporate responsibility and what amazing organizations that are supporting and growing responsible businesses locally like MilkCrate, Sustainable Business Network of Philadelphia, Solar States, PennFuture and (late addition) – yours truly!
