A Week for the Creative! Events for October 13-16

Happy Monday!

Despite the dreary weather, brighten your week with fun Philly events, including chocolate exhibitions, design showcases, and craft shows.

Here’s Philly events for the week of October 13-16th:

  • Design Philadelphia Festival: Explore the unique and historical tradition of design, architecture, and manufacturing in the Philadelphia region. The week-long event includes showcases all over the city from over 400 artists, professionals, and students. October 8-27th. Full List of Events.
  • Chocolate: The Exhibition: Learn the story behind “the food of the Gods,” and how it has impacted tropical ecosystems, human cultures, and the global economy.  Includes fun, hands-on activities for all ages! October 11-January 24. The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University. $5 Entrance Fee. More Info.
  • muraLAB: Live, a TED-inspired event: One of many events to celebrate Philadelphia’s Mural Arts Month.  This events puts eight artists in the spotlight as they describe how art has changed their communities.  Key speakers include Connor Barwin, David Fieraband, and Michelle Ortiz. October 14th @6-8:30PM. WHYY, 150 N. 6th Street. Details.
  • StylePop: A pop-up market with many talented designers featuring apparel, accessories, and crafts. October 16 @11AM-7PM. Dilworth Park. List of Vendors.
