  • SPARC Sustainable Food Week: The goal of SPARC Food Week is to bring together students and professionals from the Philadelphia area who are passionate about the intersection between food and sustainability. April 6- 12, 2015 – events across the city. Complete Calendar listings.
  • Race the Bus for Clean Air: Join the Clean Air Council and try your race pace against the Route 23 bus on Monday, April 6th at 6:24 pm. Inspired by the West Philadelphia Runners’ Beat the Bus race, this 3 mile Race the Bus event* is a chance to practice your strategy for the Run for Clean Air presented by Toyota Hybrids. The run begins at Broad and Oregon, with a finish line at 11th and Vine. Can you beat the bus along its regular route through South Philly, up 11th Street and into the hustle and bustle of Chinatown?   • BUILD Philly Coalition – Mayoral Candidate Forum: Join DVGBC and other members of the BUILD Philly Coalition for breakfast and conversation with the 2015 Mayoral candidates. Plan Philly’s Matt Golas will moderate the forum, which will focus on urban issues related to the built environment, infrastructure, land use, and development. Wednesday, April 8th from 7:30-10:00 AM. Register.
  • GetSchoolED: An Insider’s Look at Education and the 2015 Elections: Candidates tend to promise a lot in campaign season. So when it comes to Philly’s schools, we thought it was best not to have them do all the talking. Join PhillyCORE Leaders in collaboration with The Next Mayor 2015 and several longtime observers of the School District of Philadelphia for a candid conversation about education. Wednesday at 6:00pm – 7:30pm, Free Library, Tickets.
  • Emerging Sustainability Leaders Soiree: This April, The GREEN Program invites you to take part in the celebration of young emerging leadership in sustainability. Through this event, Emerging Sustainability Leaders Soiree, GREEN will be bringing together student leaders and like-minded organizations of the Greater Philadelphia area unlike any other function before. Thursday, April 9at 6:30pm, City CoHo, 2401 Walnut St, Tickets.
