SuperWeek: Week Events February 8 – 14th

Happy Super Monday! (AKA Day-after-the-superbowl-and-everyone-nurses-hangovers.)

As we approach the holiday of Love (V-day, obviously), we find ways to love our local makers & doers in the 215. Here’s our picks for the best events this week:

Week Events February 8 – 11, 2016:

  • PBQ presents: The Head & The Hand: Join Painted Bride Quarterly’s reading to honor the Head & The Hand Press. Readings by: Tracey Levine, Maryan Captan, Adrianna Borgia & Nic Esposito.   • Valentine’s Day Coffee Hour! Join the Humane League for a very special Valentine’s Day themed edition of coffee hour at The Humane League’s Advocacy Center! Meet staff and volunteers, learn about volunteer opportunities, and network with like-minded people. Chocolate and wine will be provided. Tuesday, February 9th from 5-7 PM; 1601 Walnut Street; More info.
  • Make Your Own Eco-Friendly Cleaning Supplies: Join Sustainable 19125 & 19134 & Philly Maid Green in this FREE cleaning product workshop to learn how to make your own safe & eco-friendly cleaning products., the dangers of conventional cleaning products and how they affect our health.   • Women Bike PHL – Coffee Club w/ FREE drinks! This is a very special coffee club hosted by CapitalOne360 Café, a current sponsor of the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia’s Cadence Youth Cycling team! CaptialOne360 supports the #BikePHL community in a lot of ways, and they want to add supporting #WomenBikePHL to the list…so they’re welcoming the lady bikers for Coffee Club with one FREE coffee/tea drink for every Women Bike PHL attendee at Coffee Club this week!   • Wheel you be our valentine? Join other Indego users and supporters for an ‘Indego on Ice’ special event. Grab a bike and meet everyone at the Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest! Weekend Events February 12 – 14, 2016:

  • THE YOGI’S TABLE: FEBRUARY EDITION: Join Full & Happy for One hour of yoga, fresh-pressed green juice, a cooking Demonstration  & four course, health-focused meal. Friday, February 12th from 6:30-9:30 PM; $70; Register.
  • Free Power Yoga Flow Class! Join for a flow that will challenge your strength, deepen your flexibility, and expand your mind. All levels welcome (especially beginners!) Saturday at 10 AM;Rodin Rooftop Lounge, 3901 Locust Walk, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19104, More info.
  • Sweetheart Skate: Skate to your favorite love songs, presented by a live DJ, and dedicate a tune to your sweetheart. There will be complimentary hot chocolate and flowers, plus free photo keepsakes in the Lovers Photo Booth.
