‘I’m carrying the wheel’: Week Events January 25 – 31st

Happy post-Jonas blizzard!

Now that we’ve all got Weezer’s the Blue Album out of our heads (extra props if you got this title reference…), it’s time to clear the snow (or at least, like 5% of our sidewalks) and get on with the week.

Here’s the best events in the 215:

  • January 2016 Philly Full Moon ride: Ride in the evening and howl at the moon. Meet at the Art Museum at 8 PM; ride around town and end up at a bar. Wednesday, January 27th at 8 PM; 2600 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy, more info.
  • Women Bike PHL – Coffee Club -Downtown: Each Wednesday, lady bikers meet at a different coffee shop in Philadelphia for Coffee Club — an informal gathering where Philly’s women bicyclists can share tips, rant, support, celebrate, and, most importantly….CAFFEINATE together. Wednesday at 8 AM; Caffeination (2100 Chestnut St); more info.
  • The Foragers Opening: See one couple’s relationship and twenty years of photographing local fungi and mycology. Josh’s photographs and Melissa’s crocheted yarn sculptures highlight the experience of immersion in the forest and nature’s ability to create something beautiful out of almost nothing. • How Do We {Grow/Create/Feed} What We Love?: An Evening with Bruce Mau: We each have something we hold dear: our families, education, neighborhood, or city. Please join Fleisher and the Philadelphia community to explore how we can lead the creation of that which we love or would love to create, grow, or feed in our city. Thursday, January 28th at 5 PM; more info.
