It’s chilly out: Week Events October 19 – 25

Happy Monday, y’all!

Hope you’re enjoying this blast of cold weather that’s sneaked its way back to us. I was lucky to catch the fall foliage while camping this past weekend with several layers on my side.

Week Events Monday, October 19 – Thursday, October 22nd

  • Make it Happen: As we mentioned on Friday, PennFuture, Clean Water Action & Temple are teaming up to create the next league of Philly Changemakers tonight. Get all the deets here. Tonight, 5:30-7:30,SERC 108AB, Science Education and Research Center, Temple University.
  • ENTREPRENEUR WORKS PRESENTS: SHARK TANK ALUM REBECCA RESCATE: The Entrepreneur Works Presents series features master entrepreneurs in a variety of fields speaking about their experiences starting a business and offering guidance to aspiring small business owners. Tonight from 7-9 PM, Entrepreneur Works, $10. More info.
  • Beer Brewing Workshop: Cloud9 is hosting brewing 101. Because they’re the cool hip urban farm – not a normal boring urban farm. October 20th from 6:30 – 8 PM; $20, Cloud 9 Rooftop. ALL the deets.
  • Jaws Screening. Movie night at United By Blue! October 20, 7-9 PM, UBB Old City. All the deets.
  • GLOW in the Park: Fairmount Park Conservancy’s annual young adult celebration for parks. Drinks, food trucks galore & more. All the deets here (And a $10 off code!)

Halloween Hikes & Hayrides Let us take you on a night-time journey through the woods where you will meet our nocturnal residents and learn what makes them so special. Bats, owls and, of course, our friend Mr. Fox will charm you with their tales and treats. Finish your moon-lit hike at our campfire and enjoy some tasty s’mores. More deets.

Birding with BirdPhilly_10-24 Join the Delaware Valley Ornithological Club for a guided BirdPhilly walk at the Schuylkill Center. We will be looking for late fall migrants and early returning wintering birds. As the largest privately owned preserved land in Philadelphia, we offer a diversity of habitats to attract birds from eastern bluebirds to pileated woodpeckers. All the deets.
