Looking for something to do this weekend? We’ve rounded up local and sustainably-minded events for you:

  • First Friday Smores Cookout: Join Weckerly’s Ice Cream & Fireside Camp Supply for Ice Cream sandwiches ($4), BYOB, free fire & check out the selection of camping supplies. Friday June 6, 6-8 PM, 2207 South Street, Philadelphia.
  • Philly Beer Week @ Local 44: Local 44, Greensgrow West & Grid Magazine are putting the “local” back in Philly Beer Week with a special night of sustainable drinking along with hyper-local Yards Brewing casks and Greensgrow “Mobile Market” farmer’s market. Friday, June 6, 5-9, Local 44, 44th & Spruce, West Philadelphia.
  • Wanderlust Yoga Festival. Yogis of all ages hit the mat with local yoga teachers, music, food and more in the Piazza. Saturday, June 7, 12-6 PM, the Piazza at Schmidts, Free. 
  • National Trails Day: Annually on June 7th, the American Hiking Society hosts events nationwide for the largest celebration of trails including hikes, biking, paddle trips, geocaching, cleanups and more. Saturday June 7, various, National Trails Day Events list.
  • Garces Foundation Summer Barbecue at Luna Farm: Jose Garces farm opens up for farm tours, live cooking demos, tastings and spread provided by Garces Catering & Oink Johnson. Beer, margaritas, wine & lemonade will be served. Saturday, June 7th, 2-5 PM, $60 Luna Farm; Tickets.
  • Be Well Philly Boot Camp: is sold-out but has a day full of exercise events with our area’s fitness experts. Saturday, June 7th.
  • Dock Street End-of-Beer-Week Music Fest: The 6th annual Dock Street Music Fest will host local Dock Street brews, pizza, a scavenger hunt & live music.
