We hosted Sustainability in Action at the beautiful Arts League Philadelphia last evening, welcoming 86 registrants for an inspiring conversation and community engagement. Our featured speakers included Elizabeth Lankenau, Interim Director of the Office of Sustainability, and Harrison Feinman, Director of Communications, who stepped in while Jamie Gauthier was ill.
Together, we explored Philadelphia’s sustainability wins and challenges, discussing key topics like renewable energy, EV infrastructure, the built environment, and building codes. The event sparked thought-provoking discussions on the city’s green initiatives (or lack thereof) and encouraged vibrant audience participation. Sunrise Movement and the ACLU Philadelphia also shared information about civic engagement with participants.
We’re grateful to have had the opportunity to connect with local leaders and our community to discuss the future of sustainability in Philly. This event was our inaugural event under the Every Voice, Every Vote initiative.
