Dine out on May 22nd and help out a Philly environmental nonprofit, too!
Many of our favorite restaurants are supporting local farms, reducing waste & chemicals and using smarter options for the city’s footprint. Dine Out for the Environment is the first city-wide restaurant event, showcasing our city’s most sustainable dining options.
How can you join in on the action?
Simply eat at a participating restaurant on May 22nd, and 15% of the proceeds will go to the Clean Air Council.
Participating Restaurants include:
Dine Out for the Environment highlights the Mildred as its headquarters, mentioning its cooking in cast iron, using basics for cleaning and whole-animal butchering done in-house. Also, they use bowls from the fabulous Bella Vista Fleisher Art Memorial (where I’ve previously taken a photography class!).
As Clean Air Council Executive Director, Joseph Otis Minott, Esq., said:
“The event gives haven to Philadelphia’s hungry environmentalists and eco-passionate alike with restaurants that are in line with their values.”
