Indego, Philly’s new bike share which debuted on April 23rd, is on track to hit 50,000 rides only one month in according to an email they sent yesterday.
With tactics to incentivize shorter rides ($15 memberships offer unlimited 1 hour rides, then $4 / hour afterwards and lack of bike locks, perhaps the shorter trips makes sense for the majority of people riding.
Although I was unsure if I wanted to hop on Indego’s board, I’ve taken quite a few rides getting to and from the train station, home from another destination and to the Art Star Craft Bazaar.
Readers, have you taken Indego? What have your first impressions been? Have any of these 5 things bothered you?
