Weekly street cleaning is returning in 14 neighborhoods with the highest concentration of litter (according to the Litter Index – last updated in 2019) from April 1st through November 1st, according to a press release from the Streets Department. See the full schedule and locations (including Kensington, Point Breeze, South Philly and more.).

Are you considering adding green infrastructure to a commercial property or house of worship? You can apply for a PWD stormwater grant to manage runoff on your property.

Glitter announced the Safe Steps Northwest grant-funded initiative to tackle the interconnected challenges of litter and violent crime through meaningful engagement with neighbors on 335 East Germantown and East Mount Airy blocks. The weekly cleaning and community engagement will run from June through October 2024.

There’s a surge in rescues: 21 stranded seals(and counting) have been saved on New Jersey shores this migration season.
