Villanova’s zero waste games & winning competitions

Zero Waste Game Results

Villanova completed its first Zero Waste Game on February 24th.

The Villanova Wildcats crushed Providence and were able to divert 80% of the game’s trash to recycling or composting. This was just shy of our 90% diversion goal, which we have every intention of meeting at the next Zero Waste Game, TBA.

Spark Innovation Competition

On February 13th, the first SPARK Innovation Competition went off without a hitch.

Over a 24 hour period, four teams of 4-5 students worked one-on-one with industry partners to solve real world problems. All four teams had great ideas and presentations. The two winning teams represented Merck and Keystone Foods. For more information, visit the SPARK website.
