The Energy Co-op announces new Board of Directors

Local nonprofit’s board features local energy leaders

The Energy Co-op recently held an election at their Annual Members Meeting to determine the latest Board of Directors. The new and returning board members will help guide sustainability efforts for the next two-year cycle.

The Philadelphia-based nonprofit has been supplying southeastern Pennsylvania with green energy for the past 40 years, offering 100% renewable electricity, 100% renewable natural gas, and affordable heating oil.

The Energy Co-op’s Board of Directors:

Glenn Bergman is beginning his first full two-year term. Bergman was the General Manager of Weavers Way Co-operative from 2004 to 2015 and the Executive Director of Philabundance from 2015 to 2020.

Rebecca Devine is beginning her first full two-year term. Devine is the Co-Founder and Principal of Maven Communications.

Damali Harding is beginning her second full two-year term. Harding works for Oracle Opower, where she advises utilities, customer engagement, and demand response management.

Joanna Hecht is beginning her second full two-year term. Hecht is the Pitch & Pilot Fellow at the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Innovation and Technology.

Jay Reynolds is beginning his first full two-year term. Reynolds is a co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer of Zenith Energy Management.

Eloise Young is beginning her first full two-year term. Young was a senior executive at PGW for over a decade.


Annadore Himmelberger

Annadore is a journalism student at Temple University with a passion for creative problem solving and storytelling. She is currently an editorial intern at Green Philly and producer with the Alternative Blacks Podcast. Her interests include roller skating, ghost stories, and sustainability.
