Saint Gobain Donates 100% of Employee-Grown Produce to Local Food Bank

One of the perks of growing your own food is enjoying it, right?

Saint-Gobain recently launched a community garden at its headquarters in Malvern. But rather than employees reaping the benefits, they’re donating 100% of the produce to Chester County Food Bank. After all, food banks tend to get an overload of canned and nonperishable items – which is great, but fresh produce has way more health benefits.

This is a win-win for employees: they get to hone their gardening skills while donating to a great cause!

Nonprofit Triskeles Food For All Program requires that partners donate 50 percent of their harvest to local food banks, but Saint-Gobain plans to surpass this requirement. The Food For All’s growing network includes 16 garden partners and more than 30 food pantries throughout Chester, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties.

Additional details are on Saint Gobain’s press release.

What a great initiative!
