New Legislation to Combat Greenwashing

State Rep. Chris Rabb, D-Phila., is drafting legislation to prohibit corporations from using deceitful marketing practices known as “greenwashing” in Pennsylvania. This bill aims to amend the Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law to ensure truth in environmental marketing, protecting consumers from misleading claims like “net zero” and “cleaner energy.”

Grant Blvd Closing West Philly Location

Grant Blvd, a women-led sustainable fashion brand founded by Dr. Kimberly McGlonn, is closing its West Philly store after seven years. The decision, influenced by cultural and economic shifts, reflects the brand’s evolution and commitment to balancing profit, people, and the planet. A final send-off event is scheduled for June 22nd from 4pm-7pm at its West Philly location.

Lincoln Financial Field Achieves LEED Platinum Certification

The Philadelphia Eagles’ Lincoln Financial Field has earned LEED Platinum certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, recognizing its commitment to operational sustainability.
