Another socially-distant activity for your quarantine

Are you a non-professional gardener from PA, NJ or Delaware?

The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) wants you to enter its 2020 PHS Gardening Contest. Earn points for sustainable things like composting, planting pollinator-friendly pots, conserving water and sharing the fruits of your labor with others.

Categories include things like gardens in public spaces, (including urban farms and community gardens), outdoor home gardens, front stoop container gardens, backyard vegetable and/or flower beds, and new for 2020 – “Houseplants” for indoor plant lovers.

Get gardening tips and suggestions through the PHS website and the PHS Home Gardening Facebook Group page.

Submit photos and answer a questionnaire to enter by June 22, 2020. Once you register, you’ll be able to upload photos,
