Monthly temperatures are trending hotter and wetter in line with climate change, and this past month was no exception.
May was hotter and wetter than normal. The average temperature of 67.5°F was 3.2° above normal. Since 1970, Mays in Philadelphia are getting hotter by an average of 2.4°.
There was also more precipitation than average. There were 4.16 inches, which was 125% of the average amount.
