Today is the day your inbox is flooded with pleas from local organizations to open your wallets and give. Here’s a few local efforts that help fund sustainability efforts.
If you give $75 or more to the Rodale Institute, you’ll receive a Giving Tuesday gift box (valued at over $250!) including snacks, Allegro Organic Coffee, Maggie’s Organic cotton socks, OXO Wooden salt & pepper shakers, an organic cotton mesh bag, and a Thrive Market one-year membership. You can keep a few, and give other items as gifts.
We provide you with sustainability news and tips right here on the website and our social media channels FOR FREE. But did you know we have a donate button and membership program? This past year, funds from donors have helped us hire freelancers that have covered problems with recycling and provide stipends for our interns. Help fuel our future stories by donating to Green Philly today.
We have a hard time playing favorites here, as there are SO MANY good local nonprofits doing work. Here are a few of them:
Bicycle Coalition (all donations will be matched until midnight tonight)
Green Building United (donate through Facebook fo an opportunity for Facebook to match your donation)
Reading Terminal Market is a nonprofit that provides space for 80+ small family-owned businesses. Titos Vodka will match every donation up to $25,000 today.
Clean Air Council (the first $6K donated will be matched by their board of directors)
