Your Treat: Delectable Vegan Ice Cream

If you love ice cream but aren’t so keen on tough to digest dairy check out some of my fav vegan ice cream options…

Vegan Ice Cream Options

  • Turtle Mountain’s Purely Decadent : They offer a wide variety of flavors (there’s even a new cookie dough gluten- free pint available!) Most Whole Food locations  and health food stores carry the brand. Completely lactose free and made with organic ingredients … it’s delicious too.  I really enjoy Mint Chocolate Chip and Turtle Trails.
  • Good Karma: An awesome option if you want to stay away from soy. Good Karma ice cream is made from rice-milk. (though it’s not 100% soy-free, soy protein is a minor ingredient.) Delectable and inventive flavors such as Mudd Pie, Banana Fudge and Carrot Cake are almost too good to be true.
  • Easy, delicious DIY recipe: Let’s face it – sometimes the ice cream craving hits and you’re just not in the mood to venture out. Here’s a truly yummy vegan and raw recipe for banana soft serve from Gena at Choosing Raw. I’ve made this a few times (sometimes adding dark chocolate chips or nut butter) it’s amazing!

Drooling yet?
