10 Best Philly Healthy Living & Green Instagram Accounts

We sure do love browsing Instagram for inspiration, cuteness and overall as the alternative to whiny Facebook feeds. And when we start to get a little gloomy about the shorter, colder days of fall – a picture can say 1000 words. Like “there’s still hope outside!” Or “Look at the cool things people are doing in Philly.”

We searched the web to share our favorite Instagram accounts that capture the best of sustainable and healthy living in our city! (And make sure to follow us on Instagram while you’re thinking about it.)

Philly’s 10 Best Healthy Living Instagram Accounts

1. K8tlevy

Katie Levy’s blog Adventure Inspired brings you some of the coolest outdoor activities (and places to check out) to try right in our PA territory! Her insta-photos showcase hiking shoes, gorgeous scenery and inspiration to get active and outdoors.

2. Philly PAWS

Get ready for a cuteness overload. The Philly Paws Instagram account shows you some of the cutest and family-ready pets from Paws. Plus, the occasional success story photo will tug at your heartstrings.

3. Ryan's Juice Club

Located at 1425 Arch Street, Ryan’s Juice Club creates organic concoctions of fresh juices which you can either pick up in person or will be bike-delivered to your door or office. Check out his instagram account for fresh food & vegetable porn, juice & Philly skyline and healthy-food inspiration.

4. Frisky in Philly

Frisky in Philly showcases the adorable dogs & cats of Philly tagged with #FriskyInPhilly. They support pet adoptions from local shelters, so will post adoptings listed by local shelters and have a rescue resources portion on their website. Submit the cutest photos of your shelter dog or cat to them and they may even become an insta-pet celeb!

5. Academy of Natural Sciences

America’s oldest natural science museum explores plant, animals and dinosaurs via insta-photos. Make sure to follow this account for discovering some of Mother Nature’s best and obscure creatures! (Or local owls, like this one from State College, PA.)

6. Hip City Veg

Hip City Veg displays their vegan fast-food porn to leave you itching for a fix. Whether you’re getting a sneak peek of their meals, insight from owner Nicole Marquis or checking out their University City decor, it’s a fun Instagram account to follow.

7. Urban Blazers

Urban Blazers is a nonprofit organization that helps kids build confidence while exploring the outdoors. Check out their latest projects through your Instagram feed.

8. Lithe Method

The ever-addicting Lithe Method engages their Lither army on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram. Their insta-shots showcase the instructors, classes, upcoming contests and specials. Follow their account to inspire your workout routine or to get into a group workout!

9. Philly Bike Tours

New to Philly, the Philly Bike Tours offer guided tours around the city. Their Instagram accounts captures bike porn, city sites you’ll see and the amazing combination of both. Props to their insta-genius for giving us new perspectives of biking in Philly!

10. Koliyan Philly

Koliyan Cambodian Desserts are naturally gluten, dairy-free, organic and overall delicious. Check out the cute husband & wife team behind the desserts, where they’ll appear and much more.
