On this celebratory day I thought I’d recap some of the simplest things you can do year-round to help the earth.
Longevity and health are key – and there are choices we can make each day to do our part. Here’s 4 easy areas to greenify:
Eat and drink green Buy local and organic whenever possible – choose seasonal produce that has a less damaging footprint. Not sure what’s in season? Check out this guide.
Choose organic, eco-friendly spirits whenever possible – like wine and beer.
Shop green. There’s a good selection of eco-friendly designers around these days – check out Dirty Girl Brigade, Arcadia Boutique and Nicole Rae Styer to name a few.
Primp Green. It’s easier than you might think to find eco-friendlier beauty products at your local grocery store. Here’s a few of the more well-known brands.
Sweat Green. Repeat after me “the earth is my gym.” In all seriousness, running, hiking and walking outdoors are three excellent ways to shape up – without the energy treadmills, ellipticals and other gym equipment use.
Philadelphians I encourage you to check out Lithe Method Studio– they offer unique pilates and dance inspired classes that yield major results. Plus, here’s more green fitness tips.
P.S – Many thanks From Julie and I to all our loyal readers checking in on Earth Day – and everyday!
