SUMMARY:Lady Hoofers Tap Ensemble Company Auditions

Advanced high school-aged dancers who exhibit exceptional skill and maturity may also be offered an Apprentice position with the Ensemble for the full duration of our 2026 – 2027 season.\n\nInterested dancers are divided into three age groups for auditions\, and dancers who demonstrate exceptional technique may be asked to stay for a second round of auditions with the next age group so that we may further evaluate their potential. (This means if your dancer auditions with the 9-11 age group\, we may invite them to return with the 12-15 age group; if they audition with the 16-18 age group\, we may invite them to return with our adult dancers).

SUMMARY:COMMON WATERS: One Ocean Many Voices\, a Charitable Ocean Advocacy Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Arch Enemy Arts is honored to present COMMON WATERS: One Ocean Many Voices\, a charitable exhibition on view now through July 12\, 2026 at Arch Enemy Arts\, located at 109 Arch Street in Old City Philadelphia. Timed with June\, which is globally observed as World Ocean Month\, the exhibition brings together 60 international contemporary artists in support of PangeaSeed\, the nation’s only arts-based ocean advocacy organization.\n\nA portion of exhibition proceeds\, along with visitor donations and raffles\, will directly benefit PangeaSeed’s ocean conservation initiatives. Guests are invited to visit the gallery in person to view the artwork\, learn more about PangeaSeed\, and ocean literacy. Artwork is also available to view and purchase online to support the fundraiser at www.archenemyarts.com/commonwaters2026.\n\nPresented in Philadelphia\, the birthplace of the United States\, during the 250th anniversary of the nation’s founding\, COMMON WATERS encourages viewers to look beyond borders and consider the ocean as a shared and sustaining force. Artists were invited to create original works inspired by the ocean\, its ecosystems\, and humanity’s impact on the sea\, drawing from themes of climate\, biodiversity\, conservation\, and global interconnectedness.\n\nAcross drawing\, painting\, sculpture\, and mixed media\, the exhibition offers a wide-ranging and imaginative look at the sea. Some works are wondrous and reverent\, transforming marine life and deep-sea creatures into guiding companions\, while others confront more urgent realities including warming reefs\, rising seas\, consumption\, natural disaster\, and the environmental costs of global trade. Together\, the works remind us that no shore or action exists in isolation.\n\nExhibition Details\n\nCOMMON WATERS: One Ocean Many Voices\n\nExhibition Dates: June 5 – July 12\, 2026\nLocation: Arch Enemy Arts\, 109 Arch Street\, Philadelphia\, PA 19106\nGallery Hours: Wednesday–Friday\, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. | Saturday–Sunday\, 11 a.m.–5 p.m.\nAdmission: Free and open to the public\nView Online: www.archenemyarts.com/commonwaters2026\n\nAbout Arch Enemy Arts\nArch Enemy Arts is a contemporary art gallery located in Old City Philadelphia. SUMMARY:Arborlogues
DESCRIPTION:A BOTANICAL RECITAL PERFORMED FOR ONE TREE\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSave The Meadows is bringing ARBORLOGUES to FDR Park for its Philadelphia premiere!\n\nARBORLOGUES is a one-person play where you are the performer and a single tree is your audience. ARBORLOGUES has been performed across the world\, for a wide variety of trees. The 15 minute play takes place within a specially built red curtain theater that hangs from a specifically chosen tree. After receiving the bound script from the stage manager you are left alone with your arboreal audience. The script leads you through a series of stories\, prompts\, and actions related to this tree\, this land\, and yourself.\n\nRead more about this immersive theater piece in The New York Times.\n\nWhat to know:\n\n The performances will continue rain or shine.\n There is a ten-minute walk between the parking location and the site of the performance. The ground can be uneven and sometimes muddy. Please wear shoes you are comfortable hiking in. Please arrive 15 minutes early\, so an usher can show you the way to the ‘theater’.\n Since this play can only be experienced by a very limited amount of people\, please cancel your reservation if you are not able to attend\, so that your slot can be offered to someone else.\n If you are a student or low-income\, you can use promo code 21TREE for a reduced-price ticket.\n All proceeds from this event benefit Save The Meadows\, the neighbor-led campaign to stop the destruction of South Philly’s only wild urban green space.
