SustainaBall 2017

Help celebrate SBN’s 16th anniversary and champion our region’s move to a more sustainable economy at SustainaBall 2017!

SustainaBall is the event for celebrating and supporting sustainability in the Greater Philadelphia Region! This event provides a unique opportunity for guests to enjoy local food and drink while mingling with sustainable thought leaders, activists, government officials, business owners, and other like-minded colleagues who are committed to SBN’s mission of building a green, just, and thriving economy. Both live music and a DJ will get the crowd dancing to cap this inspirational and unforgettable night.

To help raise the funds critical to advancing our mission, the auction will return to showcase local products and services from the Greater Philadelphia region. This year, we’ll host an online version of the auction in advance of the event, giving members and donors even more opportunity to promote their products and services!

NEW THIS YEAR! Join us for a VIP Reception before the event to enjoy an extra hour of local cocktails, appetizers, connecting with special guests, and inspirational music from youth orchestra Play On, Philly! The fee to attend the reception, which will be from 6:30 to 7:30 PM, is $25 per guest. Tickets are limited, so be sure to get yours as soon as possible!

DRESS CODE: Dress for the event is cocktail attire. We encourage individuality and creativity!

ABOUT PLAY ON, PHILLY!: Play On, Philly! provides high quality, intensive music education to K-12 children in Philadelphia who would not have it otherwise. Music is a vehicle to cultivate lifelong skills including discipline, self confidence, perseverance and collaboration. This tuition-free program runs for 2.5 hours every after school and as a full-day, six-week summer program. All students are loaned one of 16 instruments and each one receives 600 hours of instruction and performance opportunities each year. On average, POP students score ten points higher on standardized tests than their peers, as well as earn higher grades in math and English. 100% of our seniors have graduated and gone on to college.

ABOUT OUR VENUE: The University of the Arts will offer an exciting backdrop throughout the evening. Located in the heart of Philadelphia, the University of the Arts is one of the nation’s only universities dedicated solely to educating students in the visual and performing arts and design. Their innovative and flexible approach to developing artists and designers acts as a catalyst for the student’s creativity — allowing them to connect, collaborate and create across disciplines and traditional boundaries, in the heart of downtown Philadelphia, one of the nation’s most culturally vibrant cities.
