Rooftop Beer Garden at Cira Green

Join us for our last pop-up beer garden at Cira Green of the season! Enjoy stunning views of the Philadelphia skyline while sipping on unique beverages. There will be live music. The event will feature different beers, ciders, eclectic wines and a specialty cocktail creation.

WHERE CAN I FIND THE BEER GARDEN? The Beer Garden is located at Cira Green at Cira Center South at 129 S. 30th Street, Philadelphia PA 19104. There is a large green circlular sign between Chestnut and Walnut on 30th street with “Cira Green” on it where you can find the entrance to the elevator.

WHEN IS THE BEER GARDEN? World Cafe Live will be hosting the Beer Gardens at Cira Green every Friday from April 21st to June 23rd (except June 9th) from 5pm to 9pm, weather permitting. Last call is 8:45pm.

WHAT WILL BE SERVED AT THE BEER GARDEN? BEER! And lots of it. World Cafe Live is proud to partner with Shangy’s-The Beer Authority to present fine craft brews including Bells, Avery, Jacks Abby, Austin Eastciders, Anderson Valley, Southern Tier. In addition we will be offering some local wines and a handcrafted cocktail. Food options will be limited to snacks, so feel free to stop by Old Nelson’s to grab something to eat before you head up or head out to one of the great area restaurants University City has to offer. (Please note: absolutely no alcohol or any unsealed liquids will be allowed entrance on Cira Green during the Beer Garden)

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS? Cira Green Beer Garden is a fair weather event only. In the case of inclement weather, we may be able to take the party to our home base in upstairs at World Cafe Live (3025 Walnut Street) from 5PM to 7PM, unless another event is scheduled. HOW DO I GET TO THE BEER GARDEN? Don’t drink and drive! Cira Green is conveniently located just one block from 30th Street Station, the 30th Street MFL stop and on the route of several SEPTA bus lines. If you bring the DD, there are several metered parking spots in the area and additional paid parking lots that can be found here.

WILL THERE BE MUSIC? Yes! We will be inviting some Philadelphia area favorites to join us every week. Music will playing from approximately 5:30-8:30pm. Pease check our Facebook page for updates on the bands.

IS THE BEER GARDEN CASH ONLY? We love cash but we will also be accepting all major credit cards at our ticket stations. Tickets can be turned into the bar for water, snacks, beer, wine and cocktails. Unfortunately, at this time we will not be honoring World Cafe Live gift cards.

WHERE CAN I SIT? No formal seating will be provided. We encourage you to bring a blanket to relax on the grass.

IS THE SPACE ADA ACCESSIBLE? Absolutely! Elevators and ramps access all areas of the park, but please note that there is no formal seating.

HOW MUCH IS THE BEER GARDEN? It’s free to attend! All 21+ guests are welcome.

WHY CIRA GREEN? This lovely space right in our own neighborhood provides stunning views of the city and green space for enjoying the spring weather. In addition, the engineered design of Cira Green is the first project in the City to utilize innovative “blue roof” and “green roof” technologies for enhanced storm water performance; thus greatly reducing the development’s impact on the environment and surrounding public sewer systems. The “blue roof” systems lay under paved walking surfaces and provide the same hydrological performance as a fully planted roof.

WHAT CAN I BRING? A blanket, all your 21+ friends, some prepared food, sunscreen, sealed water, and love of local music. DO NOT BRING: any smoking devices, chairs, balls or frisbees, any weapons of any kind, pets, alcohol or unsealed liquids. For a full list right from the website here.
