The Philadelphia Orchard Project (POP) is a nonprofit whose mission is to plant and support community orchards in the city of Philadelphia. POP supports a total of 61 city orchards in partnership with community groups across the city including schools, churches, community gardens, and other nonprofits.
On Sunday, Sept. 16th at the site of the historic Woodlands Estate we’re hosting an Orchard Benefit Dinner to honor our 11 years of devoted community work. We will also be honoring the efforts of our community orchard partners across the city, including this year’s POP Purple Fig awardee and guest speaker Jerome Shabazz of the Overbrook Environmental Education Center.
Join us for cocktails, food, music & good times to support and celebrate our work in the community. All funds will directly support POP’s work to continue creating beautiful and bountiful green spaces for all of Philadelphia!
