On October 5th and 6th, Food Recovery Network is hosting the third National Food Recovery Dialogue (NFRD) at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. This influential event will convene 350 students, nonprofit, industry, and policy leaders from across the food recovery, food justice, policy and environmental spaces.
This two-day, conference-style event will bring together some of the top minds in the realm of sustainability and social justice, including featured speaker and president of Food Tank, Dani Nierenberg. We will identify and discuss innovative ways to make food recovery the norm in our nation, not the exception. From these inspiring conversations, attendees will develop strategies to implement when they return to their communities to carry forth the NFRD magic. Join us for a variety of panels, speakers, breakout sessions and an industry-expo. Register now!
Food Recovery Network (FRN) unites and supports college student-leaders in the fight against food waste and hunger in America. Since 2011, FRN students have recovered more than 3.6 million pounds of surplus food that would otherwise go to waste, from their campus cafeterias and local restaurants to donate to hungry Americans. Food Recovery Network has more than 200 college-campus chapters in 44 states and the District of Columbia.
