KleinLife Community Orchard Phase 2 Planting!

KleinLife runs a large facility in Northeast Philadelphia geared towards the older adult population in the area. They provide lots of on-site food options and a meals-on-wheels program. As part of increasing the nutritional quality of their offerings, they’ve been growing more and more of their own produce; and POP planted phase 1 of their community orchard in November 2016. Please join us to increase the size of their orchard and tour the beautiful site.
From their website: The goal of the Active Adult Life program is to help older adults live independently in the community while maintaining as active a lifestyle as possible. Based on a philosophy that supportive services and meaningful activity help seniors to achieve that goal, KleinLife centers provide a daily hot kosher lunch in a congregate setting, health screenings, health education, counseling, information and referral, volunteer opportunities, peer support groups, cultural programs, social activities, computer classes, English as a second language classes, clubs, day trips, public affairs discussions and home delivered meals when needed.
