The Philadelphia Water Department invites you to the Green City, Clean Waters ‘A Decade in the Community’ celebration on Thursday, October 21 from 4 – 7pm outside the Crane Arts Building and in the street along the 1400 Block of North American Street. Enjoy activities, light refreshments, green stormwater infrastructure tours, an official ribbon-cutting for the American Street Improvement Project, and more!
4:45 p.m. – VIP speakers welcoming remarks (at American & Master Streets)
5:15 p.m. – American Street ribbon cutting & public photo opportunity
5:30 p.m. – tours of local green stormwater infrastructure (GSI) on the half-hour
This year marks the 10th anniversary of Green City, Clean Waters — the City of Philadelphia’s 25-year plan to improve local waterway health using primarily green stormwater systems backed by investments in traditional infrastructure.
Green City, Clean Waters investments keep more than two billion gallons of pollution from entering the Delaware and Schuylkill River watersheds each year and have engaged more than 400,000 Philadelphians in this clean water journey!
