As the weather starts getting warmer, Philadelphians deserve to be able to go outside and breathe clean, healthy air. Unfortunately 1 out of every 4 days in Philadelphia is considered a “bad air day” where the air is not safe to breathe. This is poised to get worse as the Trump administration continues to roll back our most important environmental protections and clean air programs, putting our city at risk of more code-red bad air days and asthma attacks.1
Philadelphians have a right to clean, healthy air to breathe 365 days a year–and we need your help to make that right a reality.
Join PennEnvironment, community groups, health care professionals, and other concerned Philadelphians to usher in the first day of spring with a rally to strengthen protections for our air and advocate for climate action so that all of us can breathe easier.
WHAT: First Day of Spring Clean Air Rally
WHERE: Northeast corner outside of Philadelphia City Hall, 1400 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, Philadelphia, PA 19102
WHEN: Tuesday, March 20th at 12:00PM
WHO: PennEnvironment, Clean Air Council, Moms Clean Air Force, with other community groups and elected officials TBA.
Everyone deserves clean air to breathe, but across Philadelphia this right is being threatened by corporate polluters, dirty and outdated means of producing energy, and a federal government that is reversing the clean air progress we’ve made.
Our elected officials need to stand up to these environmental attacks and take real action to protect our air. That’s why we’re going to turn up the pressure by holding a public rally demanding a healthier future so we can enjoy being outside the spring without getting sick.
But that means we need you to stand with us to make this call for clean air loud and clear. Can we count on you to join us?
