Fair Trade Philadelphia Sponsors Booth at Made in Philadelphia Fall Market
Fair Trade Philadelphia (FTPHL) is sponsoring a booth at the “Made in Philadelphia” Fall Market at Dilworth Park to promote Fair Trade products to the market’s attendees.
For three days, October 19, 20, & 21, the FTPHL booth will showcase local Fair Trade vendors and their products – handmade crafts, apparel, accessories, & stationery from Grace’s Guatemala Goodies & Pangaea Fair Trade, coffee from Philly Fair Trade Roasters, as well as a display from the newly opened Ten Thousand Villages store.
On the first day of the market, Friday, October 19th, students from Mercy Career & Technical High School – a Fair Trade Campaigns certified Fair Trade School – will join the booth to help promote Fair Trade awareness (11:00am-1:30pm).
“Come visit the booth and meet local Fair Trade vendors and enthusiasts!”, says Billy Hanafee, a member of the Fair Trade Philadelphia steering committee. FTPHL would also like to thank Equal Exchange, a Fair Trade co-op, for its support of this event and the organization.
