Azuka Theatre presents the East Coast Premiere of warplay, a poetic and funny re-imagining of the relationship between Achilles and Patroclus which requires us to reexamine our assumptions about heroism and love. Marking the return to Azuka of Pookie Goes Grenading playwright and television writer JC Lee (ABC’s How to Get Away with Murder, HBO’s Looking), the journey of Achilles & Patroclus is a meditation on male intimacy, destiny, and how the constant shadow of war may warp us all. The play will run at the Louis Bluver Theatre at The Drake (302 S Hicks Street) from October 31 to November 18, 2018. Tickets are “Pay What You Decide” where the audience members choose to pay what they decide the show was worth after the show is over. Reservations are available now at http://www.azukatheatre.org/warplay or by calling (215) 563-1100. Please visit the website for the show schedule, as times vary by date.
