Frequently Asked Questions about Green Philly events.

What’s the dress code for your events?

Wear whatever makes you comfortable! Most attendees choose smart casual attire for our events, but there’s no strict rule. Some programs may have exceptions; for example, outdoor events might call for practical walking clothes. We also love seeing thrifted and sustainable looks. No one will ever be turned away for what they wear.

What should I wear to SustainPHL?

SustainPHL is our biggest night of the year and follows a cocktail attire or business cocktail attire dress code. Guests often use this as a chance to dress up while still keeping it sustainable: think secondhand finds, thrifted gems, or outfits you already love in your closet. And again, no one will be turned away for attire.

Are tickets refundable?

All event sales are final.

What if it rains?

If the event is outdoors, we’ll either have a rain date on our event page or move the event indoors. We’ll communicate any changes in advance so you know what to expect.

If Green Philly cancels an event, we will offer either a refund or a credit toward a future event. Refunds may take 7–10 business days to process.

Will there be photography or recording?

When you attend a Green Philly event, you enter an area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur. By entering the event premises, you consent to such recording media and its release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction.

What about snow or extreme weather?

We live in a reality of climate change – from wildfire smoke to snow, freezing temperatures, and other conditions. In the case of unforeseen circumstances, we’ll post updates on the ticket page, email attendees, and share on social media. If we need to postpone and you can’t make the new date, you can request a refund by emailing info@greenphl.com.

Where can I see the event photos after the event?

Photos from our events may appear on our website, social media, and in our weekly email newsletter. We also share complete photo albums on our Facebook page.

Can I use Green Philly event photos?

If you’d like to use our photos for republication, please email info@greenphl.com with your request, including the purpose and how the photos will be used.

How can I support Green Philly events?

Green Philly is a community-driven publication highlighting local sustainability work and driving positive change. The best way to support our website and events is by becoming a Member or making a donation. Businesses can also get involved through sponsorships and advertising opportunities.
